Award-winning author Nuala O’Connor talks at the Princess Grace Irish Library (PGIL) in Monaco (28 April 2022). Nuala speaks about the meticulous research undertaken and what inspired her to write her book, Nora: A love of Nora Barnacle and James Joyce which was named one of the best books of bio-historical fiction by the New York Times. The novel takes the facts around the lives of Nora and James Joyce, and re-imagines them as a fictional story. The author’s talk is illustrated by dramatic readings of four personal letters from Joyce to Nora, performed by actors from the Monaco-Ireland Arts Society.
